Asleep and There is a Light That Never goes Out - The Smiths

I love The Smiths, I really do, but 'Asleep' (1987) is very depressing.  Probably their saddest song.  It was suggested by Manuel.  Although Morrissey could have a negative view on life, he could also be very positive about it, as shown by 'There is a Light That Never Goes Out' (1986).  Okay, so the song talks about being hit by a 'double decker bus' or a 'ten ton truck' but the basic message is one of hope - that of eventually finding love.  You see, Morrisssey is an old romantic after all.
